Wales – land of history, culture and a rugged landscape
On September 27, at 19.30 in the Hunebedcentrum in Borger a lecture on Wales by Alun Harvey.
The current exhibition at the Hunebedcentrum called “Shadowland: Mysterious megaliths in Wales” …. But where and what is Wales? It is part of England or is it a separate country with its own identity? And how does it look like today?
This lecture will Wales from the shadows away – from the shadow of the prehistoric past of the exhibition, and from the shadow of its much larger neighbor neighbor England.
The lecture will be given by Alun Harvey, educators of the Hunebedcentrum in Wales was born and raised. Alun says something about the history of Wales, its historic heritage, its culture and the very special Welsh language. He also shows why Wales – with its numerous historical jewels, its magnificent mountains, and its unspoilt coastline, more than 8 million visitors per year. The lecture will be given in English.
On 27 September, the doors open at 19:00. The lecture lasts until about 21.30. Costs € 3.00 per person.
